Gottschalk was appointed as Chairman of the Advisory Board - 10/19/2011

From 1972 Prof. Dr. Bernd Gottschalk worked in different departments within the Daimler Benz Corporation, where he held several international positions, e.g. he served as President of Mercedes-Benz do Brasil. 

In 1992 Mr. Gottschalk was appointed to the Board of Executive Members for Commercial Vehicles Worldwide. In 1997 he was elected president of the German Automotive Association (VDA). With more than ten years in this position he became the longest-serving VDA-president ever.

Prof. Dr. Gottschalk is also CEO and founder of the AutoValue GmbH and member of the Supervisory and Advisory Boards of Schaeffler, Voith, Plastic Omnium, Roche, WOCO, Hay Group and the Allianz Group.

Save the date for the 4th FACTON Congress on October 13th, 2011 - 03/23/2011

 New Quality or old Patterns of Behavior? - OEMs and Suppliers: A common Destiny.

The FACTON Congress 2011 will take place October 13th, 2011 at the Grandhotel Schloss Bensberg in Bergisch Gladbach and will deal with the OEM-supplier-relationship and ask specifically: What happened? Increasing sales figures and full order books – it seams the “crisis of the century” of the automotive industry turns to its end.

At the same time there is a complaint on the return to old patterns of behavior: OEMs are increasing the cost pressure and as contrary the supplier try to secure their margins. Were the recited requests of the 2010 conference only lip services or are the two parties working on a fundamental change of their cooperation?
